A bit weird..considering the Mets are already tearing
down Shea. Although..one is considered a baseball palace, and

Ok so it has nothing to do with

The scoreboard that has been part of Shea
since it opened in 1964 falls . This video
is not easy to watch for Met fans.
In a 1 sentence blurb in an article
discussing the demoltion of Shea stadium it was mentioned
that the Big Mets Red Apple will be cleaned up and displayed outside Citi Field. Not sure if this will be a permanent place for the icon.

attended at Shea Stadium. Aug. 11, 2008, when the
