The New Orleans Hornets were one of the
biggest surprises in the NBA last season. With 56
wins, which is the best record in franchise history, they will be a team to look out for. Also, for the first time in Hornet history, Chris Paul managed to take the team all the way to the Western Conference Semi-Finals where they ultimately lost to the veterans in San Antonio.
Argentina, led by Manu Ginobili's 24 points and
Carlos Delfino's 23, won a 80-78 nail-biter that came
down to the final shot.

The Portland Tribune reports Bill Walton expects to
be back broadcasting for ABC/ESPN next season. Walton couldn't
broadcast much of the 2007-08 season due to bulging disks and a pinched nerve that affected his back and hip. I might be in the minority, but I've always enjoyed Walton's enthusiasm for the game and blatantly over-the-top statements.
