Day 6 of the 2008 Olympics has to be considered the day of the upset. No, don't worry Phelps is still on pace to shatter every record known to man. The upset came on the tennis court. American James Blake defeated Roger Federer in the quarter finials.

Roger Federer came to Beijing hoping for a singles gold medal to ease the pain of losing the last two major finals and his number one ranking to Rafa Nadal. It's been a rough couple of years for American men's tennis, but that didn't matter today, as James Blake advanced to the Olympic semifinals after defeating Roger Federer in straight sets.
