Although announced as an event participant during a recent press conference to hype UFC 90, Mike Swick (12-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC) said a recent elbow surgery will keep him from participating at the event. Despite UFC President Dana White’s recent announcement that welterweight competitor Mike Swick would be competing at UFC 90 on Oct. 25 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., Swick will not be on the card. The alumnus from the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter” has revealed to MMAjunkie.com that he underwent surgery this past July to remove bone fragments from the elbow and that he will be out until the end of the year.
