donnie23 +2like the rankings. i was planning on doing something similar myself but you saved me a lot of work. great resource. -
donnie23 i don't understan why jamal lewis continues to crack the top 15. he's so old. -
BadenBall this question is for everyone involved in fantasy football this year, Ive been asking every one of my buddies, i figure why not open it up for discussion. I have the 12th overall pick in a 12 man league, which means I turn around and get the 13th pick. I am pretty sure that will go with QB and RB, but which ones is the question. Any advice would be appreciated. I have a clue of who I might be picking, but any extra insight is always nice. so help me out everyone!!!-
donnie23 depends on your league settings but i'd only go QB if it's brady or maybe Peyton otherwise there isn't much difference Romo, Brees and Palmer at this point. You might even throw in Roethlisberger. One of which is pretty much guaranteed to be there in the 3rd/4th round pick.
So you're pretty much looking at lynch and MJD. I think with fred taylor a year older MJD is going to have a monster year. You could also think about Moss, TO or Wayne to pick up the stud WR.

BadenBall my only concern is that I don't turn around and draft again until the 25th pick, by that time I could be stuck with no decent QB, but I see your point. So you think RB, RB? hmmm, one of my other buddies thinks the same thing, however...it would be tempting to pick up Moss if he's on the board.-
SportsOverdose We agree with donnie and your buddy also. The gap between peyton and the other top 5 or so QBs closed big last year. So unless you got Brady I'd go RB,RB or RB,WR (probably only WR with moss). Most of the mock drafts indicate that Carson Palmer and Roethlisberger will be out there for the 36 pick (your 3rd rounder). So unless you are in a two QB league or one the values QBs pretty highly its safe to say you won't be stuck with a garbage QB.
And the upgrade on your 2nd RB will be very significant over any downgrade you might see at QB by waiting.
Check out the mock draft at our site http://fantasy.sportsoverdose.com/football/mock-draft-nfl-2008.html/ (we also link to a bunch of others). It will give you a good feel for how things might shake out in your draft.

donnie23 yeah definitely RB,RB unless you can get brady or you got a really good feeling about peyton.

BadenBall yeah, im pretty sure i am going to go that route now. and i dont have a good feeling about payton and even he does start tearing it up, it wouldnt be until week 3. how do you guys feel about Matt Hasselbeck, I am diehard Hawks fan being from seattle and all. i love the intersection of my hometeam and fantasy. however, this sometimes bites me in the ass. but like you guys say their wont be much of a difference between the third tier guys.-
SportsOverdose Hasselbeck could have one of the bigger drop offs of the top fantasy QBs this year with the questions at WR and RB. You should pretty safely get Palmer or Roethlisberger with your 3rd/4th pick so I'd go that route.
If those guys are gone then your decision is Hasselbeck, Derek Anderson or McNabb. We'd personally go the Anderson or McNabb route but it's basically a tossup so as a Hawks fan you could certainly go all in for your rooting interest each week.
