Elsewhere one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history took place on the diamond. The United States Softball team fell to the Japanese side 3-1 in the Gold Medal game. This was the first time the United States team had be defeated since September of 2000.

Team USA-Argentina Olympic Semifinal Preview
