When Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora flattened Browns quarterback Derek Anderson on Monday night, Cleveland fans everywhere gasped. As it turns out, the violent hit did only limited damage to Anderson. According to James Walker of ESPN.com, Anderson has a “mild” concussion . Anderson is expected to be ready for the Browns’ regular-season opener against the Cowboys. Which of course has prompted Brady Quinn to mutter, “Newman.”
