 Torre's Stories
So I just moved from a town where nearly three-quarters of the residents don't own cars to one where more than three-quarters DO. Welcome to LA. Only about seven percent of LA residents took public transit in '06 (yes, I looked all this stuff up), so I'm thinking the car culture here probably won't change all that much...which means I'll be driving again. It's gonna be a big adjustment for ... [link]

Torre’s Stories
Published 8/20/2008 by Steve Lombardi at WasWatching.com
Joe Torre is now blogging. (Hat tip: BBTF.) Click here to see Joe’s blog (entitled “Torre’s Stories”). I could get on Joe’s case for starting a blog just about the time that his book is coming out…but, then again, I did the same thing. So, let’s just say nothing about that… On the plus side, it’s nice to see someone older than me blogging…as sometimes I feel like the only one out here (in the blogsphere) who didn’t grow up watching Thundercats and Inspector ...

Joe Torre embraces blogging
Published 8/20/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (TONY ARNOLDINE) at T O N Y B L O G S
... Look who has just entered the blogosphere. None other than "Saint" Joe Torre, former New York Yankees manager and current Los Angeles Dodgers skipper, whose "Torre's Stories" blog is part of the MLBlogs network. He posted three entries on Monday and even joked on how behind he is, especially when it comes to the Web. ...

Blogger: Joe Torre
Published 8/20/2008 by joe at Mets Today - The Hot Stove Edition
... Former Mets manager Joe Torre (I know he managed somewhere else, but can’t remember where) has a blog. And yet there isn’t one ad for Bigelow Tea. ...

A matter of perspective
Published 8/21/2008 by Ben K. at River Avenue Blues » River Avenue Blues, A New York Yankees Blog
... Over the last few days — and with the introduction of the weirdly absurd Joe Torre blog — a lot of baseball commentators have been focused on the state of the Yankees. That this team — a team that went into 2008 clearly in transition — is something of a disappointment is not a point worth arguing. They’re 10 games out of first and five out of the Wild Card. Clearly things could be better. ...

Joe Torre's Ghostwriter Is Messing With My Head
Published 8/21/2008 by Camp Tiger Claw at Walkoff Walk
... It is perhaps the worst kept secret in the world that some of these are ghostwritten, but I tend to think a lot of the MLBlogs are on the up and up. Or at least dicated faithfully. But, I gotta tell you. If this is the real Joe Torre talking, consider my brain fully broke. ...

... * Fantastically nomenclatured reader Leonora Unser-Schutz writes in to point us towards the direction of… Joe Torre’s new blog. I think I’ve just this second realized how the mainstream is planning on getting rid of bloggers; by making the blogworld as fantastically uncool as possible. I’m not going to make fun of Torre here - the blog so far is mostly about his adjustments in moving from New York to Los Angeles. Actually, I appreciate him making the effort. ...

Top O' The Order: Joe Torre has started a blog — or has he?
Published 8/22/2008 by 'Duk at Big League Stew
... up until I started reading about blogs and Web acronyms. I mean, WTF(udge), right? Then there are "web smileys" like ;-) and :-( which frankly make me a bit >:-P (I just made that one up). But live and learn. Until then, I'll just say BFN, because I have to GBTW, but I'll BCNU soon. But JFTR, I don't think I'm going to be using a lot of this Web slang. IMHO, plain old English works just fine. TYVM and TTYL. There's just NO way that's him, right? [Joe Torre's MLBlog] 2. Now that baseball has adopted instant replay, ...

Now Blogging: Joe Torre

... a real phenomenon; I learned about it first-hand when I found myself walking down Rodeo Drive with this little white Maltese or Pomeranian named Butch under my arm. The funniest (or saddest) part was that I didn’t look one bit out of place. Can’t see Torre emphasizing things by capitalizing DO or using the phrase “hot accessory.” Does he have dogs? Would he know the difference between a Maltese or a Pomeranian? Torre’s Stories (MLBlogs Network)

Joe Torre Has a Blog
Published 8/25/2008 by Larry Brown at Larry Brown Sports
... . It’s a humorous spot that features Torre surfing, doing yoga, walking with a lap dog in Beverly Hills, and pretty much everything else that’s considered trendy in LA. Seeing how Torre’s already embracing the LA culture, why not go the max and join the technological revolution too, right? That’s exactly what he’s done — starting a blog that’s hosted by MLB.com. Even if it’s not penned by Torre, his words and subject matter are pretty humorous. ...

From Wallace Matthews : Last October, the Yankees made Joe Torre an offer he couldn't accept, the chance to be a lame duck in the shooting gallery known as Yankee Stadium.
