Cook blew his ACL last year in a December 20th OT win against Duke.  The NCAA rule states that a player cannot have played in excess of 30% of a team's games to get a waiver.  Pitt played 37 games last year, however, six of those were in the post season, which the NCAA only counts as one game altogether.  Thus, in the NCAA's eyes, Cook played in 11 of 32 games, not 11 of 37 as would be counted in a little place I like to call "reality".   Pitt Blather has a really excellent write-up on it.  Godspeed Mike. ...
