The Josh Childress Homesickness Cure
Published 7/24/2008 at ESPN.com - True Hoop - Blog
New place. New surroundings. New world. Plans to stay for quite some time. Anyone could get a little homesick. Anyone could feel that longing for the familiar surroundings of home. Experts say the thing to do is to not become a shut-in. To get used to going out and about. To learn, over time, to find enjoyment from new kinds of things. For Josh Childress, newly arrived in Greece, mission accomplished. (Thanks to Aristidis for the link.)

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It's also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren't always listed in order of importance. Josh Childress Dances At Greek Club After Signing With Olympiakos
Published 7/24/2008 at FanIQ Blog
Obviously one of the big stories this past week has been the decision by Josh Childress not to resign with Atlanta and instead go abroad to play in Greece for a boatload of cash. Naturally, I think we all have some questions about this landmark decision. Will Childress have a tough time adjusting to Greece? Will the language barrier hurt his play? How will his new teammates, who will be earning significantly less than him, treat him? And who will he go clubbing with? But then I remember that this guy is being paid more than $30 million to come to town, and all of that money has been ...

Didn’t take long for Josh Childress to get situated in Greece
Published 7/24/2008 by King Ing at Sports Crackle Pop
That was fast. Josh Childress went out and celebrated his signing with Greek team Olympiacos by heading out to a local nightspot where he was the center of attention. I think he is going to like living overseas. (Insert gyro and feta cheese jokes here)

It looks like Josh Childress is already having fun in Greece
Published 7/25/2008 by houroc at Hail Mary Jane » Hail Mary Jane
This week Josh Childress left the Atlanta Hawks to play with the Greek Squad the Olympiakos. The main reason for going overseas is that he can make more money over there right now. His deal is going to be about 3 years, $20 million after taxes. Not too bad for a backup. So what do you do when you are a new country and you don’t know anybody and you want to get your name out there. Hit the Club of course. In this video that I found today via True Hoop, Childress is partyin’ it up in Greece to Fat Joe’s lean back. Is that ...

LEAN BACK
Published 7/25/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (Docksquad) at Docksquad Sports
Josh Childress must be homesick in Greece right? I mean he doesn't know anybody out there, what is he going to do? Well it looks like he is doing what any 25 year old who just came into 20 million would do, PARTY!!! Check out this video that was posted on Truehoop today. Fat Joe baby, now lean back! lean back! I personally think what he did by bolting for Europe is great. It must've been hard for him, but the Euro is stronger than the Dollar, all the money is guaranteed, and I heard they even take care of your taxes out there. Oh ya, and let's not forget the Euro hunnies ...

“He’s Going To Have A Breakout Year”

"What if I beg? Will that bring old Tony back?" (Boston Globe Photo) Let’s hope so. I’m not sure what can be said about Tony Allen that hasnt’ been said. He’s getting $5 mil. over 2 years… and he’s either going to be a steal or a bona fide bust by the time the contract is over. I don’t see any real middle ground, because we’ve ...

America's Invasion of Euro Hardwood May Not Be Over; Another NBAer Considers the Move

That didn't take long at all, did it? Amidst all the hub-bub of Josh Childress changing the world, and all the challenges that lay ahead of him, at least one promising free agent is already weighing the European option. That would be Carl Landry, small-scale destroyer of worlds and probably 90% of the Rockets' overall toughness quotient. From The Houston Chronicle : The agent for ...
